In the beginning of 2006 a single united economic unit was formed from the psychiatric services in Finnish within the Hospital District of Southwest Finland. The services had earlier been arranged as separate functions at the Turku University Hospital and the other hospitals in the Hospital District. The Division is made up of Adult Psychiatry, Adolescent Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry.
In January 2006 the Psychiatry Division had approximately 540 employees and is resourced for 260 patients (also incl. day patients) as well as operations at eight locations, which are:

- Lieto
- Loimaa
- Raisio
- Salo
- Turku (Turku University Hospital)
- Uusikaupunki
