The Halikko Hospital is the largest unit within the Psychiatry Division. It is located in Märynummi in Halikko and provides psychiatric outpatient and institutionalized patient care for the municipalities around Salo and also psychiatric institutionalized care to patients from Loimaa.
Outpatient care is provided by the metal health care centres in Salo and Kaarina, where there are crisis groups, by the outpatient wards for child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as by the general hospital psychiatry outpatient ward connected to the Salo District Hospital. Outpatient care services are also provided by the outpatient wards for rehabilitative and geriatric psychiatry located in the Halikko Hospital.
Institutionalized care is taken care of by the 9 different wards, as well as the general hospital psychiatry ward connected to the Salo District Hospital.
Arrival for care generally takes place with referral from a physician. One can also personally contact the outpatient wards at mental health care centres as well as the outpatient wards for child and adolescent psychiatry.
