Cancer of the urinary bladder
The typical symptom of cancer of the urinary bladder is blood in the urine (hematuria). The tumour is identified by cystoscopy.
Most tumours can be removed by cystoscopy, but some tumours require removal of the whole bladder. Localized urinary bladder cancer may be treated with medicinal rinses of the urinary bladder. In addition, chemotherapy or radiation therapy are used to treat some bladder cancers. The treatment plan is always individualized for each patient.
