Reservations for appointments on weekday evenings are made between 3:30 and 6 PM.
On Saturdays, Sundays and midweek holidays reservations are made between 9 and 11 AM.
Outside these working hours you may ask for advice on acute dental problems by phoning the help desk of the emergency services of the Tyks T-Hospital, number 02 313 8800.
The health care centres of the municipalities manage dental problems during the remaining times.
When should I visit dental emergency services?
The regional dental emergency services of the hospital district are intended for patients who need urgent treatment of acute conditions of the teeth and mouth.
Criteria for calling the help desk include:
- intense pain of the teeth and mouth
- sudden swellings and inflammations
- injuries to the teeth, mucous membranes of the mouth and to the jaw
- general symptoms (like fever) associated with dental and oral diseases
- complications (like bleeding) after dental procedures
Patients who do not fulfil the criteria for emergency care will be directed elsewhere. For example, a simple tooth fracture or a tooth filling that falls out do not require emergency dental care.
