Document publicity description

The Hospital District of Southwest Finland is in accordance with the Act on Information Management (906/2019), Section 4, an Information Management Unit. It has to maintain a description of the data repositories and case registers as is set in the Information Management Act, Section 28.

Document publicity description contains a description of the data repositories and case registers of The Hospital District of Southwest Finland. Its purpose is to help making specific information requests. 

The Case Register of the Hospital District of Southwest Finland

A case register is an entity that contains the submitted cases in the Hospital District of Southwest Finland, including their processes and documents. Information included in the case register can also be in operative systems and on paper form.

Data repositories 

A data repository includes data material or a collection of data materials formed for a specific purpose.

Patient Data

In addition to the patient information systems, patient data is maintained in patient documents on paper and film.

Making an information request

Information requests about patient data that are directed to the Hospital District of Southwest Finland are handled in the Turku University Hospital information services. A request can be made:

Personnel information

Data repositories of personnel information consists of information on employment relationship, salaries, work shifts, absences, updating education and competence. Personnel information repositories are maintained in many information systems and some of the information is on manual documents.

Making an information request

  • A freely written and signed request that includes name, social security number, address, phone number and details of the requested data. The request is sent to: Human Resources, PB 52, 20521 Turku. 
  • A freely formed request can also be made via Suomi.fi Messages (more information on Suomi.fi Service).
  • A personal visit;
    • in relation to employment relationship: Human Resources, Raisio Hospital, 1st floor, Section F, Sairaalakatu 5, 21200 Raisio.
    • in relation to recruitment: Recruitment Service, Building 11A2, 2nd floor, Kiinamyllynkatu 4-8, 20520 Turku.
  • One can check their own employment application in Kuntarekry with user name and password. 
  • Search factors: name, social security number, employment relationship’s dates, application date.

Decision-making and management

Data repositories include information concerning administration, decision-making, institutions and data management. Some of this information is on paper.

  • search factors: the title of the matter, the subject of the matter, the number of the matter, name, social security number.
