Service center hub
A Service center hub for hospital support service was established on January 1, 2021. The hub integrates the support services produced close to the patient. The purpose of establishing a Service center hub has been to unify procedures, to improve further the flow of communication, to facilitate agreement logistics and, in general, to work more efficiently as a whole.
The following organizational units of the Hospital district are included in the Service center hub:
- Hospital housekeeping
- Food and nutritional support
- Hospital textile care
- Telephone center
- Internal logistics.
The Service hub center will function as the single point of reference for user interaction. These support functions will be managed by a single management organization which will see to it that the role and position of support services will be noted. This will, in the long run, improve optimal use and targeting of the limited resource available. Ultimately, productivity will improve by organizing functions rationally and by better agreement logistics.
