We study and treat diseases relating to the growth, physical development and hormonal activity of children and adolescents aged 0 to 16. Our largest patients groups are patients suffering from thyroid gland diseases, patients receiving growth hormone treatment, disorders of adolescent development and other growth disorders. We also treat children with growth and development disorders resulting from chromosome abnormalities.
You need a doctor's
referral to be admitted.
A clinic fee is collected from your visit. The visit lasts from 30 to 45 minutes, and it includes the height, weight and blood pressure measurements by a nurse and a physician's practice visit. Administering growth hormone is also taught by the nurse. A dietician can be present during the visit, if required. During ongoing courses in spring and autumn, some medical students near the end of their studies can be present as well.
Blood samples or X-rays are not taken at the ward, but in the appropriate facilities of the laboratory or the imaging centre. Our goal is to have such studies and their results completed and available at the practice visit.
