Over 4000 children are born in our ward. Our goal is to take the family and the individual needs of mothers into account. The mother and child are treated by a midwife and, if required, an obstetrician, anaesthesiologist and a paediatrician.
The labour ward is on duty 24 hours a day.
A daily inpatient fee or a clinic fee is collected, depending on the visit. See client fees.
Visiting
The partner or a support person is welcome to participate in the childbirth. Other visitations need to be arranged separately with the staff.
Facilities
All of our delivery rooms are single-person rooms where neonatal care also takes place. All delivery rooms have their own shower and toilet.
The ward has three bathtubs. The bathtubs are located between the delivery rooms so that six delivery rooms have access to the bathtub room.
C-sections are performed in the operating room in the maternity ward. The spouse or support person has the opportunity to be present during a c-section.
Our ward has a shared break space with the prenatal care unit where a spouse or support person can wait or eat during the hospital stay.
